Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain accurate prescription records and documentation
- Assist with pharmacy compounding and sterile preparations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Basic math proficiency for medication calculations
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
