Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile workstations and equipment per OSHA standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during specimen collection
- Document procedures electronically using EMR systems
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality policies
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Texas phlebotomy license (if required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
