Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections for diagnostic testing
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism
- Operate laboratory information systems (LIS) efficiently
- Train new staff on phlebotomy best practices
- Collaborate with physicians and lab teams for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (for mobile services)
