Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling according to strict laboratory protocols.
- Maintain a clean and sterile phlebotomy workstation and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
- Process and transport specimens to the central laboratory in a timely manner.
- Document patient information accurately into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license (required for mobile phlebotomy duties).
