Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies/equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
- Transport patients to/from surgical suites and provide pre/post-op support
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain equipment calibration and sterilization processes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in general surgery
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency with surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical subspecialties
