Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedures
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of scrub experience in surgical settings
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Texas Surgical Tech license (or ability to obtain immediately)
