Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI protocols and prioritize emergency care needs
- Collaborate with physicians to develop accurate treatment plans
- Document patient encounters with precision in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear patient education on care pathways and home instructions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state nursing board regulations
- Lead crisis response during mass casualty incidents
- Mentor new triage staff on department protocols
Qualifications
- Active NC RN license with 3+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology and emergency protocols
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Spanish bilingual certification a plus
