Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through systematic follow-up
- Maintain patient accounts with precise coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Conduct regular audits to identify billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation completeness
- Stay updated on CMS regulations and payer policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding and ICD-10 guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with denial resolution and appeals processes
- Excellent communication skills for patient/payer interactions
