Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize patients based on acuity levels and emergency department protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff for coordinated care
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Monitor vital signs and initiate emergency interventions when necessary
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license with at least 2 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and de-escalation techniques
- Experience with EHR documentation (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN preferred or commitment to obtain within 12 months
