Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Provide expert triage services for emergency department patients
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases promptly
- Offer compassionate guidance to patients and families
- Collaborate with care teams to ensure optimal patient flow
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-volume settings
- BSN degree preferred or equivalent experience
