Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and emergency response
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems following HIPAA protocols
- Provide clear, compassionate health education to patients and families
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to medical emergencies with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Mexico with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification; TNCC preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency/urgent care triage protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingualism highly desirable
