Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and treatment areas
- Take accurate dental X-rays and perform digital imaging
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up calls
- Order and inventory dental supplies while maintaining cost efficiency
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with practice management software
