Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency using standardized triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families during critical care decisions
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow through the ED
- Provide phone triage services to remote patients with clinical guidance
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-pressure situations and mass casualty incidents
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (compact license acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
