Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial patient assessments via phone, email, or in-person triage channels.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Provide clinical guidance and health education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and self-care.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely in the EHR system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and quality assurance standards.
- Manage patient queues effectively to minimize wait times and optimize clinic throughput.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, emergency nursing, or urgent care.
- Certification as a CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or equivalent experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize patient care under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
