Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient records using pharmacy software
- Conduct inventory management and medication order verification
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds in aseptic conditions
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Valid Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license
- CPR certification preferred
