Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for critical care coordination
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and recognize clinical deterioration
- Maintain departmental compliance with JCAHO and CMS standards
- Lead crisis interventions during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Mexico (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ESI triage certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
