Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency using ESI protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and triage documentation
- Provide telehealth triage support for multiple service lines
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and preventive measures
- Collaborate with discharge planning and social work teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BSN or higher preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
