Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using SBAR protocols to prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) for accurate documentation and communication
- Provide patient education on treatment pathways and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results for critical intervention needs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and JCAHO regulations
- Lead crisis management during high-volume patient surges
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 2 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in triage protocols (ESI, 5-level systems)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Master's degree in Nursing or relevant specialty certification preferred
