Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and emergency department staff to coordinate care
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients and families
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in EHR documentation systems
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with equivalent experience considered)
