Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Manage patient flow and chairside efficiency with digital charting systems
- Implement strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Take diagnostic radiographs and assist with intraoral imaging
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and equipment operation
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for 5 operatories
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in District of Columbia
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and infection control certification
- Proven ability to manage high-volume patient schedules
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instrumentation
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
