Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chairside assisting during complex procedures including oral surgery and implant placements
- Lead sterilization protocols and infection control compliance for the entire dental team
- Train and mentor junior assistants on clinical procedures and patient communication
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging technology
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies and equipment
- Coordinate treatment planning with dentists and office staff for seamless patient care
- Implement and maintain HIPAA compliance standards in all clinical operations
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a high-volume dental practice
- Advanced certification in radiology and coronal polishing
- Expertise in digital imaging software (E.g., Dexis, Schick)
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Proven leadership or mentorship experience in dental settings
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team coordination
