Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Lead sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Train and mentor new dental assistants
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care
- Coordinate treatment plans with front office staff
- Maintain precise dental charting and documentation
Qualifications
- Current RDA license in California
- Minimum 3 years clinical dental assisting experience
- Certification in nitrous oxide monitoring
- Advanced knowledge of digital radiography (X-rays, CBCT)
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
