Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage patient records with HIPAA-compliant digital systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Train new assistants on clinic protocols and workflows
- Coordinate with labs on prosthetic cases and crown fittings
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant Radiography License (DAR)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- CDA or DANB certification preferred
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft and Dexis software systems
- Exceptional communication skills in English/Spanish
- Advanced knowledge of infection control protocols
- CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
