Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placements and orthodontic adjustments
- Manage digital imaging systems (DEXIS/Pax) and intraoral cameras
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Train new assistants on practice workflows and software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for multi-specialty cases
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care
Qualifications
- CDA or RDA certification required (Florida Board of Dentistry)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general/specialty dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography and CBCT imaging
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred
