Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage infection control and sterilization protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain optimal clinic efficiency
- Train new assistants on practice-specific protocols and technologies
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument availability
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Dental Assistant Radiology certification required
- Minimum 3 years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Associate's degree in dental assisting or equivalent certification
