Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Oversee sterilization protocols and infection control compliance
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows
- Coordinate patient education and post-op care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Epic systems
- Manage inventory and ordering of clinical supplies
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or state dental assistant license
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in digital imaging software and practice management systems
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask in high-volume clinical settings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
