Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implants, orthodontics, and restorative work
- Manage digital radiography (X-rays, CBCT) and intraoral imaging with proficiency
- Oversee sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance across multiple operatories
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants on clinical protocols and patient communication
- Assist in treatment planning coordination and digital documentation management
- Implement infection control standards and emergency response procedures
- Coordinate with dental labs and specialists for seamless patient care continuum
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience in a high-volume practice
- Current DANB certification and state radiology permit
- Advanced knowledge of dental software (Epic, Dentrix, or similar)
- CPR/BLS certification with current status
- Proven experience in pediatric and geriatric dental care protocols
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient management skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
