Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and interpret diagnostic images
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Train junior staff on clinical workflows and patient communication
- Oversee inventory management for dental supplies and instruments
- Implement recall systems to ensure continuity of patient care
- Coordinate with insurance providers on pre-approvals and claims
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Ohio Dental Assistant Registration required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or DentalWorks practice management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instruments
- Exceptional patient communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume settings
