Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implants and orthodontics
- Manage digital radiography (CBCT) and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation (certification required)
- Oversee dental inventory management and supply ordering
- Train new assistants on clinical workflows and technology
- Coordinate patient education materials and post-op care instructions
Qualifications
- Michigan Dental Assistant License (RDA preferred)
- CDA or DANB certification required
- 2+ years in general dentistry experience
- Advanced knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English and Spanish a plus
