Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records and chairside assistance using advanced dental software
- Implement sterilization protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Train and mentor junior assistants on clinical best practices
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering for the practice
- Provide pre/post-operative instructions to ensure optimal recovery
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification and radiography license
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume dental practice
- Advanced knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- CPR/BLS certification and willingness to maintain
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
