Responsibilities
- Perform advanced chairside assisting during complex dental procedures including implant placements and oral surgeries
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards exceeding OSHA requirements
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows and practice standards
- Oversee inventory management for dental supplies and equipment ordering
- Assist with digital radiography, CBCT imaging, and intraoral camera operations
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize appointment scheduling efficiency
- Prepare treatment rooms and specialized instrumentation for diverse procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience in a fast-paced practice
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
- Certification in nitrous oxide monitoring and dental radiography
- Advanced knowledge of dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Proven leadership experience with team coordination
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail
