Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorations
- Take accurate dental X-rays and develop diagnostic images
- Manage patient scheduling and digital chart documentation
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain operatory sterility
- Train new assistants on practice-specific software and workflows
- Coordinate lab cases and digital smile design processes
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS, Dexis Imaging)
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and chairside techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification current
