Responsibilities
- Perform advanced clinical chairside assistance including four-handed dentistry and complex restorative procedures
- Manage digital imaging systems (CBCT, intraoral cameras) and CAD/CAM workflows
- Oversee sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance for premium practice standards
- Lead patient education on complex treatment plans and post-operative care
- Train and mentor junior assistants on practice-specific protocols
- Coordinate seamless case management between specialists and restorative teams
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Epic systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of dental assisting experience in cosmetic/restorative dentistry
- Current DANB certification and DC radiology permit
- Advanced certification in nitrous oxide monitoring and IV sedation assistance
- Expertise in digital radiography and CAD/CAM workflows (CEREC, iTero)
- Proven leadership experience in dental team environments
- Exceptional communication skills for high-net-worth patient interactions
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
