Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and attention to detail
- Execute strict sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory setups
- Oversee dental inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinic workflows and best practices
- Deliver compassionate patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate seamlessly with front desk team for efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- CDA certification or DANB preferred
- Proficiency in digital imaging systems (e.g., Dexis, Schick)
- Advanced knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR/BLS certification maintained
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software
