Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implant placements and restorative work
- Manage digital radiography systems (CBCT, intraoral cameras) and sterilization protocols
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies and equipment
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on practice-specific workflows
- Implement infection control standards exceeding OSHA guidelines
- Coordinate patient flow and chair turnover between procedures
- Assist in treatment planning discussions with patients
Qualifications
- Active DANB certification or equivalent dental assisting credential
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Experience with dental imaging software (DEXIS, Carestream)
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and materials
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
