Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and daily workflow in sterile compounding environment
- Prepare and verify complex IV medications, chemotherapy, and specialty compounds
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and DEA compliance documentation
- Train staff on aseptic techniques and new pharmacy technologies
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy reviews
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Oversee quality assurance protocols and sterile product testing
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license
- 3+ years sterile compounding experience
- CPhT (PTCB) certification required
- IV certification and chemotherapy handling experience
- Strong knowledge of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
- Leadership experience with staff training and scheduling
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environment
