Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound sterile/non-sterile medications following USP 797 standards
- Manage prescription verification, inventory control, and third-party billing systems
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on compounding protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and insurance providers to resolve prescription issues
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and meticulous documentation practices
- Participate in quality assurance audits and process improvements
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years compounding pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique expertise
- Excellent communication skills for patient education
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs
