Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient medication counseling
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) credential required
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- CPR certification preferred
