Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Compounding specialized medications under pharmacist supervision
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidential patient records
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prior authorizations
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory tracking
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification or equivalent credentials
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
