Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently using robotic automation systems
- Manage inventory control and ordering processes for 50+ pharmaceutical products
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on SOPs and compliance protocols
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility through electronic systems
- Conduct medication reconciliation and patient counseling sessions
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and electronic health documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives and compounding projects
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and sterile compounding procedures
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree in Pharmacy Technology or related field preferred
