Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments using provided advanced equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures with specialized instrumentation and technology
- Operate robotic surgical systems and laparoscopic equipment per protocol
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and ensure equipment functionality
- Implement sterilization protocols for reusable instruments and devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflow
- Document equipment usage and maintenance for compliance tracking
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci)
- Expertise in sterile processing and equipment sterilization
- Ability to operate complex surgical instruments under pressure
- Strong knowledge of Alaska healthcare regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Current BLS certification
