Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Process insurance claims and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical services
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
