Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies
- Train and supervise pharmacy support staff
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Exceptional communication and patient service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic IV compounding certification a plus
