Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy
- Lead pharmacy technicians in inventory management and medication ordering
- Train new staff on HIPAA compliance and pharmacy protocols
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing
- Conduct medication reconciliation for complex patient cases
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription adjustments
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- Minimum 2 years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certification in sterile compounding (ASHP preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong math skills for dosage calculations and inventory control
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
