Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing inquiries
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- PTCB certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong mathematical accuracy and medication knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screen required
