Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles in digital systems
- Process insurance claims and assist with third-party billing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Nevada
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting (1+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
