Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications using robotic and manual systems
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and compounding
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Operate automated dispensing equipment and IV admixtures
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding standards
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Background check and drug screen required
