Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and drug ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Implement HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
