Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for diverse surgical specialties
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with precision instrument handling
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Coordinate surgical equipment inventory and sterilization processes
- Mentor junior technicians and enforce safety standards
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 3+ years of experience in Level I trauma center OR
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular procedures
- Advanced knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- BLS and ACLS certifications with current status
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
