Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during neuro and orthopedic operations
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and OSHA compliance
- Train and mentor junior surgical tech staff
- Inventory management and equipment sterilization
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 3+ years in neuro or orthopedic surgical services
- BLS and CPR certifications
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical systems
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology preferred
- Experience in Level I trauma center setting
